In this course, I will be guiding you through the basics of computer programming and C++. Through years of tutoring, I’ve noticed common pitfalls that students come across when they first start programming. I designed this course to help you overcome those challenges, and to help you excel in your current or future class! If you are currently taking a computer science course and are struggling to keep up, this course may be just what you need. I made this for students who are paying ludicrous amounts for college classes, just to have a TA give them a half-hearted explanation in under 5 minutes so they can move onto the next student. I want you to succeed and this course is my attempt to help with that.
You will learn how to:
Create output and receive input from the user through the console
Work with variables to store information in your programs
Use conditions and if statements to make decisions in your programs
Use loops to repeat sections of code
Use Arrays to store vast amounts of information using a single variable
Create functions to make clean and modular code
Debug your programs using Visual Studio debugging tools
Create flowcharts to help create game plans for your programs
You’ll work alongside me and learn how to break down problems into a way that makes them easy to solve with a program!
Who this course is for:
- High-School students interested in programming
- College Freshman who want to stay ahead of class
