If you are a complete beginner, then this course is for you, yet there are techniques for those who already have some intermediate experience but want to loosen up a bit and become more expressive. This course aims to take you to the next glorious level on managing colour to achieve successful, glowing, vibrant paintings.
As the videos unfold, you will learn how different colours work together, some simple composition strategies, and how to produce your own vibrant, colourful painting by using watercolors in a range of adventurous ways. Just follow boldly along, and you’ll soon be producing a painting that zings with colour and energy.

* Step-by-step guidance and best practice for a range of creative watercolour techniques (such as creating texture in elephant skin, painting an elephant’s eye, using wet-in-wet to paint lively foregrounds, blending and softening, overlapping large washes, bleeding colours, glazing multiple layers of colour, avoiding ‘mud’, choosing and creating a background – to name but a few!)
* Studio tips for successful working practices and saving time (correcting mistakes, mixing shadow colours, creating a 3-dimensional subject, adding depth, avoid washed out paintings, etc)
