Zentangle® is a meditative and therapeutic art form which revolves around certain structured patterns to create beautiful artwork. These patterns called as “Tangles” in Zentangle® terminology are very easy to learn by anyone with or without prior artistic background. They are made up of very elemental strokes which anyone can grasp very easily. The tangles have been designed in a fashion that they require your utmost attention, focus and awareness almost like meditating. Also, the Zentangle® method acts as an excellent therapy for kids and adults alike due to its ability to instill mindfulness.
So, till now we tangled on white tiles with black ink to create beautiful Zentangle® artwork. Tanglers are free to stick to black and white format with shades of grey even at advanced levels. However, having said that Zentangle® HQ provides many more varieties of stationary such as the grey, black and tan (Renaissance) tiles. This course is about tangling on black tiles . It allows more extensive use of the White GellyRoll pens. It also opens up the gates to explore and experiment many new techniques such as layering/ tranZending, embellishments and using colored GellyRolls and colored chalks on Black tiles .
