Here I will show you some basic steps that will help you understand a formula for painting the portrait of a shorthaired dog.

Where did I start? I took a photo of the dog, printed it, as you can do, and transferred it to the watercolour paper. Then watch as I work through each step.

The tracing, photo and any other things to help you are all in the resource section with each lecture. These are all in the resources after each lecture.
Then I select a very limited palette and very slowly start colouring in the head. Here I use a tried and tested method of starting with a very place colour and gradually layering that colour until it gets to the desired depth.
