Hi there!
Thank you for showing an interest in my new Christmas course. In it I go through how to play five different Christmas carols – Deck the Halls, Silent Night, In Dulci Jubilo, Joy to the World, Ding Dong Merrily on High – and you also have the option to play along to a guitar backing.
Although obviously themed, this course will push you, at least a little bit, to work on your musical ear (playing with others) and your sight reading. I go through each carol both counting the beats and using words (mnemonics) to break down rhythms, and make them more accessible.
I’ve worked on the basis that you are able to follow basic tab but if you feel you need more support with this, please check out my Beginner Mandolin Course first.
To sum up, in this course you will:

We also touch on the idea of playing chords with melody on Joy to the world, which I have covered in more detail in my other course ‘Play Chords and Melodies at the same time on Mandolin.’ So hopefully you can see, I’ve designed this course to follow on from my others, utilising all the skills you’ve gained to hopefully push you a little further and boost your confidence.
