What you’ll learn
- An Overview of Salvation History
In this overview of the Old & New Testaments of the Bible, we examine God’s dealings with man–from Creation and the Garden of Eden to the New Heavens and the New Earth–through the following five lenses:
101.1a. The Precedent for the Gospel. We’ll look at Creation and The Garden of Eden, The Fall of Man (Adam & Eve), and God’s efforts to both restore them and make restoration available to all who would come after them.
101.1b. The Preparation for the Gospel. We’ll examine God giving the Ten Commandments to Israel at Mount Sinai & commissioning the Prophets to speak to Israel on His behalf.
101.1c. The Pattern for the Gospel. We’ll learn about Old-Testament Israel’s worship of God through The Tabernacle System He gave them and see how He was preparing His people to recognize His Messiah when He came.
101.1d. The Person of the Gospel. We’ll watch Jesus fulfill all of the prophecies and patterns God gave, proving that He was, in fact, the Messiah of God.
101.1e. The Perfection of the Gospel. Finally, we’ll look at John’s encounter with Jesus on the Isle of Patmos and hear God’s plans for the future of mankind.
Once we are finished taking this adventure together, we’ll understand not only how God has worked with man throughout history, but why… And what lies ahead.
