Hello everyone and welcome to my English course on the simple present.

Have you ever wanted to learn English as a second language, but did not know where to begin? Yes, language learning can be overwhelming. I have been through the same thing. It can be nerve racking. However, I have made this course specifically for beginners that do not know where to begin in their English learning journey.

In this course, I will be teaching the following:

  • The affirmative form of the simple present

  • The spelling of the third person singular (He, She, It)

  • The interrogative (question) form of the simple present

  • The negative form of the simple present

  • The different uses of the simple present

  • Things to remember about the simple present

  • The verb to be in English

  • Action verbs vs. state verbs

  • Questions with do and question words (who, what, where, when, why, and how)

  • A brief conclusion on the simple present

One of the most important parts of English grammar is verb tenses. They are the heart of any sentence. The simple present tense (also known as present simple or present indefinite) is the most common verb tense in English. It is the first verb tense one must learn when learning English. Over 50% of verbs in English are in this tense, so it’s a really important tense to learn. It is used for several different situations. I will go over the different uses of the simple present in this course and also the sentence structure.

Enjoy this English course and remember: Rome was not built in a day! Take your time and with practice you will achieve your goal!

Sincerely,

Roxanne Star
