Begin to evaluate your furniture for design details and review the best kinds of fabrics for your design. Kim also provides tips and tricks to start planning your slipcover design!
Preparing the Fabric
Grab your measuring tape and learn how to take essential measurements of your sofa! Kim gives you insider tips to efficiently calculate fabric yardage and cut pieces with little waste. Plus, learn to sew your own custom cording at home.
Pin-Fitting the Slipcover
Kim shows you how to pin-fit all of the fabric in place before you ever sew a seam. Be sure to follow her order for the most custom fit. She also provides insider tips to pin pleats around curved areas and mark your zipper closure.
Sewing the Slipcover
You’re one step closer to a finished slipcover! If you follow Kim’s outlined sewing order, sewing should be fun and easy. Learn how to navigate curves, intersecting seams and more. You’ll also learn how to sew the cording in place as you work, with no extra steps!
Closures
