This course helps teachers create effective teaching methods by leveraging online learning experiences to benefit students.
Description
The general philosophy of this training course is based on cooperation between you and the other participants and the training team. Our focus is on understanding how to develop the best teaching methods for students, through thinking about experiences while learning online and trying to benefit from the knowledge we have built, whether it was good or not, and how to do so, either after or integrated or 100% personally.
The course aims to help teachers discover various educational principles in an active manner that can make a difference. It is based on Diana Laurillard’s conversational framework, which can be considered a pedagogical theory and a practical framework for designing effective educational environments. This framework helps teachers analyze and use different educational media from 4 main dimensions:
1- Explaining some educational principles and summarizing their application.
2- Suggesting and exchanging resources and/or practices and/or tools related to these teaching principles.
3- Interacting through questioning, exchanging perspectives and commenting on what participants express for a critical view of these educational principles.
4- Supporting practitioners in the school in communicating and working effectively with parents to ensure the success of students in school.
What you’ll learn
Apply the framework of conversation design to lesson/teaching unit plans.
Evaluate good/bad practices based on shared experiences with others during online learning.
Adapt and utilize open educational resources to design effective teaching/learning materials.
Identify best practices for creating a supportive environment through supporting others (teachers, students, families, etc.).
Facilitate more effective family engagement.
