Welcome to Doc Chen’s O’Dalla Channel. We are launching the first-ever clarinet lesson series. If you are searching for a course to learn the instrument, this is the most fundamental and the best way to start playing your clarinet. Whether you are just a student or an adult who wants to learn to play the clarinet, this is the best source for your learning.

There are five topics in these five videos. In each video, you will hear Doc Chen explain and demonstrate all the subjects discussed.

1. Working with the Mouthpiece and the first note.

2. Playing the long note with steady air support.

3. Playing the tonguing note with steady counting.

4. Assembling your whole instrument.

5. Maintaining the best body gesture.

You can find the note charts, demonstrations, practice materials, explanations, …etc to help you learn how to play the clarinet step by step. Of course, the most important step is for you to keep practicing. After each lesson, you will be assigned the homework. Don’t forget to hang in there and do the practice daily.

Please prepare your clarinet, reed, ligature, metronome, and other accessories. We are going to take a fly and enjoy your clarinet playing right away.

Who this course is for:

  • Anyone who is insterested in learning clarinet, no matter what age. You need to be able to practice 5-10 minutes a day in the beginning, and at least 15-20 minutes at the end of the classes.
