Free Gender Equality Tutorial – Introduction to Gender Equality and Social Inclusion
This course is brought to you by One Future Collective. One Future Collective is a feminist social purpose organisation with a vision of a world built on social justice, led by communities of care. We fight for the right of each person to live a life of safety, dignity, and belongingness by catalysing people-power and building just institutions.
Through this course, we’ll provide participants with an overview of understanding and practicing Gender Equality and Social Inclusion in the personal and professional spheres. Through this course, participants will be able to understand and explore:
1. Introduction to GESI
2. Key terms and terminologies related to GESI
3. What is GESI and why should one care about it?
4. Why do we need a GESI framework or a GESI approach?
5. What are GESI principles and how can they be actioned?
The course will end with a panel discussion highlighting the barriers to implementing GESI, what mistakes individuals make while doing GESI, and how these efforts can fail. However, there will be an element of understanding these challenges and implementing or thinking about tips and success metrics to overcome these challenges.
This is a comprehensive course with a mix of lecture-style videos, self reflection prompts, an assignment and a panel discussion to keep you engaged throughout.
