This course will provide you with insider tips on creating authentic anime & manga illustrations taught by a true veteran of the Japanese anime industry. You will gain the fundamental knowledge required to draw traditional anime character facial features, as well as the cultural context behind why they are drawn the way they are. This course also covers multiple variants and illustration styles to help inspire illustrators to take their anime illustrations to the next level.

In this course we will cover:

1. Anime Contours (Nose, Mouth, Eyebrows)

2. Anime Hair

3. Anime Eyes

This course will provide you with the basic tools, information, and background required to provide your anime and manga illustrations with an authentic charm straight from the heart of the anime industry!

This course will be conducted on Adobe Photoshop, but feel free to substitute with any other illustration software or even a pencil and paper!

A seasoned veteran of the anime game industry for over 16 years, Kazuya Kimura has honed his illustration skills performing as a key animator, scenario supervisor, as well as a sound supervisor for various well-known titles. He currently serves as one of the top illustrators at G-angle’s Sapporo branch, focusing primarily on illustrations for famous IP’s as well as managing and training in-house designers.
