2D and 3D Programming Using WebGL
Learn web design in this computer graphics course that explains how to model and render 2D and 3D graphics for web browsers using WebGL on any platform.
Effective use of 2D and 3D graphics are on the rise as they result in powerful and impressive displays. WebGL is used to render high-performance interactive 3D and 2D graphics within any compatible web browser without the use of plug-ins. We will teach you how to set up a WebGL project and server on various operating systems, draw objects and apply textures and colours. Explore how to transform shapes and apply ambient lighting.
What You Will Learn In This Free Course
Introduction, Setting-Up and Drawing Objects
In this module, you will learn about WebGL, OpenGL, and OpenGL ES, how to set up a quick server to run WebGL on different operating systems, how to set up a WebGL project, render objects, draw points, and draw a line, how to draw triangles using the line system, and how to load and draw models using Three.js.
Colour, Textures, Transforming Objects and Lighting
In this module, you will learn how to apply colors to shapes, one color per triangle, and how to apply textures to shapes, you will learn about coordinate systems, how to move objects in WebGL using translation, combine transformation, and how to handle mouse and keyboard events and how to implement ambient lighting in WebGL.
