Toys are the best thing in the world when it comes to reliving our childhood, making our favorite characters in the most creative ways possible & explaining simple concepts of science. There are different ways of making toys as we have seen over centuries using materials made from unhealthy plastic, detrimental to our environment.

In this course on 3D Toys, we are exploring digital ways of making these toys using Design Thinking, CAD modeling & 3D Printing. This approach helps us create digital models of toys and save them in our online library. In addition to that, we also use biodegradable polymers for creating high-resolution & detailed toys.

Here are the things, you would be learning as part of the course:

  • Using online Design platforms like “TinkerCAD” to make a diverse range of toys.
The simplest tool used for 3D Modeling custom geometries & 3D designs, enabling visualization & creation of tangible prototypes.

  • Design Thinking Approach to make the most complex-looking toys.
Breaking down a complex structure into simple steps to be able to model anything.

  • Different kinds of toys: Character, Educational & Functional toy prototypes.

There is a diverse range of toys you’d like to create. From miniatures to characters, educational & functional prototypes, if you can dream about it, you can make it.

  • “Design Slice Print” Techniques for production of 3D Toy.

The approach to making anything using the science of 3D printing, the three basic tools are Designing it on CAD, Slicing it using a Slicer software & 3D printing it on your 3D printer.

  • Making fun 3D Toys for making scientific concepts easy to learn.

Using Design Thinking, your imagination & creativity, any toy can be made useful & fun.
