Direct Painting

Dive into an introduction of direct painting techniques as Tauchid walks you through the steps to create a beautiful still life. Indirect Painting, Part One

Indirect Painting, Part Two

Taking the flower underpainting you created in Lesson 3, you’ll move on to adding glaze layers with the use of new mediums. You’ll learn how to choose between opaque, transparent and semi-opaque glazes to obtain the hues and effects that you desire. Tauchid also illustrates ways to determine how your mediums will change when they’re dry, as well as how to add a new drybrush layer on top of your glazes.

Impasto & Acrylic, Part One

Create dramatic, varied textures as you indulge your creative side with the impasto technique. Using high-viscosity paints and liquid mediums, you’ll lay in the sky and ground of an alluring abstract landscape. Picking up where you left off in Lesson 5, you’ll continue your impasto techniques with a variety of gel mediums. Tauchid demonstrates ways to paint ethereal and wispy clouds, utilize drybrush techniques to make the foreground pop, create delicate lines using ordinary household items and apply your final glazes.
