Automotive Electrical Concepts
Learn how to diagnose and troubleshoot automotive electrical problems with this comprehensive course. From understanding circuit components to performing voltage drop tests, you’ll gain the knowledge needed to work on your own vehicle. Perfect for anyone looking to develop a deeper understanding of the 12-volt electrical system in negatively grounded vehicles. Start learning today and enhance your skills in automotive electrical diagnostics.
What you’ll learn
- The basic settings on a Digital Volt Ohm Meter
- How to identify the different parts of an electrical circuit
- How to successfully perform a voltage drop test
- How to read and follow an automotive wiring diagram
This course describes the electric components and flow of electricity in the automobile. We will break down circuits and tell about each component in the electric system as well. We also have a lecture dedicated to the volt ohm meter and how to operate and read it in terms of electrical voltage. This knowledge is basic knowledge needed in order to properly diagnose automotive electrical problems. This will aid in development of skills to diagnose and trace electrical problems that may occur. This will also help give the knowledge of electrical flow for troubleshooting issues with your personal vehicles. Our aim with this course is to increase the amount of general knowledge about the automotive electrical system and provide a great basis for anyone to know how to diagnose basic electrical issues on the automobile. This course is based on the 12 volt system and the negatively grounded vehicles. Some exotic vehicles are positively grounded and we do not cover those vehicles in this course. Please feel free to watch the previews of the videos in the course at no charge to see if the pace and layout is right for your learning needs. We are here to provide you with the most correct and best knowledge we know how to provide.
