In this course, learn the techniques for creating botanical tattoos with pointillism. Polilla teaches you the basics of human body anatomy and guides you through the development of a tattoo design, from its application to her favorite tricks for achieving unique effects with shadows, textures, and volume.

Next, begin to explore your canvas: the human body. Understand why muscle and skin tone are important factors to consider when designing your tattoo and learn the relationship between the body and the size of a tattoo.
In the third unit, enter the world of botanical elements. Learn the characteristics of different flowers and plants that will serve as a foundation for you as you add volume, light, and contrast to your drawing. Then, learn to clean, digitize, and print your final design, using Adobe Photoshop to adapt it to your stencil.
Let’s start tattooing! Before starting, Polilla shows you the many technical considerations to guarantee proper hygiene and safety in your workplace. She also teaches you to transfer your drawing to the skin with the stencil. Learn how to create shadows, add volume, and apply a unique texture to the tattoo with the techniques of outlining and pointillism.
