Building Your Network
Nearly 40% of Black-owned businesses in the U.S. closed between February and April 2020 alone, and more than 50% of surviving Black-owned businesses said they’re worried about the longevity of their companies. In a world where who-you-know matters just as much — if not more — than what-you-know, Black entrepreneurs need to be a part of a supportive ecosystem in order for their businesses to grow and succeed. In this lesson, we’ll hear from various entrepreneurs who have mastered the skill of networking. You’ll learn how to network with a purpose, how to prepare for networking events, and identify a list of various networking programs that will help you grow and scale your business in accordance with your specific needs.
Inbound Strategies to Attract, Engage, and Delight Your Customers
It’s well-known that Black-owned businesses were disproportionately impacted during the Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, according to an H&R Block study, more than half of Black-owned small businesses experienced at least a 50% decrease in revenue during the Covid-19 pandemic. If you’ve experienced this, it might be time to revamp your current business strategies to navigate a post-pandemic world. In this lesson, we’ll discuss the inbound methodology and tactical strategies you can employ today to attract, engage, and delight your customers.
