This course is designed to help you collect data for a research project. It contains helpful lectures full of information and tips to improve your understanding of data types and how to design your research project.

This course is intended for business professionals who are considering enrolling in a doctoral degree as well as anyone who may be interested in what a doctoral degree course typically entails.

Content and Overview

This introductory level course consists of videos and presentations totalling approximately 40 minutes.

This course does not require any prior knowledge of the requirements for a doctoral degree.

This course provides an introduction to methods of data collection.

On completion of this course, you will understand the differences between Primary and Secondary data and how to triangulate the collected data.

You will know the components of a Methods Checklist for design of a research project and collect the data to analyse for your research

You will learn, through an example, the step-by-step process to build a qualitative research design.

It also provides helpful hints and advice for prospective and current doctoral students to help maximise their time by giving insights from DBA graduates.
