Begin the course by getting to know art director and illustrator Robert Sammelin. He tells you about his background, some of his biggest influences, and how joy and curiosity are the driving force behind his art.
Gather and analyze references for inspiration, then construct a basic composition, digitally sketch out some ideas, and plan the colors for your final project.
Robert teaches you a range of different penciling techniques, then how use a brush and nib to do ink washes. Next, get experimental as he shows you how to create various textures for the coloring stage.
