This is an in-person curly-cutting event shot in McMinnville, OR on Feb 2024. The class is meant for stylists looking to get into curly hair to see a full cut from start to finish. This class is not meant to teach you haircutting; it is a round graduation with bangs. The course will give you insights from a curl specialist as he walks through his processes. The course starts with general curly questions, Walks through Bangs, The cut, Styling after washing, Drying. At every step questions are answered about the process as it is being executed. The main goal of the class was to demystify the process to give people afraid of working with curly hair a breakdown that makes it less scary.
Instructor Nathaniel Morris is a Cutting Specialist in Portland, OR. He has been doing hair for 20 years and has taught for Paul Mitchel. Starting to work on Curly clients was a game changer for Nathaniel and has been the primary direction that he has focused on for the last 10 years. He will be completing an online Curly Cutting course “Curls in Bloom” in 2024 which will feature live cuts on various hair textures to see the approach from start to finish.
