Daily Embodiment practices enable practitioners to find ease in the body by way of gentle, slow, soft qigong movements that enable Qi to circulate throughout the body.
These practices are simple and easy to flow into. Anyone can do these practices and gain mastery over their body, emotions, thoughts and feelings. It’s a way of becoming self-aware and being in oneness with one’s essence.
This practice helps sensing internally and gaining awareness of spaces within your body. It also helps in drawing your attention to the environment around you and taking in information that feels okay and welcoming it into your Nervous System. This enables the body to feel safe, stable, balanced and settled.
The embodiment practice is a way of being with what feels safe, staying within your threshold and organically expanding your boundaries and body’s ability to even peek into shifting gears, one level at time, and noticing what that feels like.
If any of the movements feel like it’s ‘too much’, ‘too soon’, then, really paying heed to your body’s wisdom and need to slow things down and notice if there is still any discomfort in any part of the body. Often, when we do physical exercises, we’re encouraged to push ourselves and ignore pain and discomfort in the body. Contrarily, the Embodiment practice teaches you to be in harmony with your body, mind and soul. You may begin at your comfort level and gradually move, one notch at a time, to your threshold without diving too deep all at once. This gentle, smooth and gradual way of working on building the body’s capacity feels natural and effortless.
