‘The Roots’ of DJ Mystery To Mastery provides you with the foundations of your DJ career in health and wellbeing, whether that’s Ecstatic Dance, Sound Healing, Breathwork, Yoga or any Somatic practice which uses music as part of its medicine.
You’ll start with the right attitude for success. You’ll learn about the different types of equipment and DJ software, so you can make an empowered decision about what you want to use. Together, we’ll get your kit set up and install your software – I work with Traktor Pro 3 but the learning is applicable to all brands of DJ software. We’re going to get into the basics of music – things like BPM (beats per minute), keys and phrases (which will all make total sense after the course!) so you can confidently play with tracks in the mix. And we’ll look at the different genres of music and how they induce different moods or feelings, as well as where and how to find tracks and the best way to organise your music library so you can find the right piece of music to suit any occasion.
