This SQL certification practice test is a great way to test your SQL knowledge, receive instance feedback, so you can see where you need to improve.

These quizzes are a great way to study for certifications or interviews.  Whether you’re a data engineer, junior developer, business analyst, or junior dba, you’ll find these quizzes help you more quickly understand SQL vocabular and concepts.

I’ve separated the tests into four parts. This makes it great for both beginner and intermediate students to use the tests to prepare for your next SQL Certification or Interview.

The first is more basic, with 72 questions covering the following topics:

The passing score for each test is 75% percent.  Both are timed tests.

Can I take the tests more than once?

Yes, you can take the test as many times as you wish. Each time you take the test, the questions are resorted and presented to you in a new random order.

Is there a time limit for each test?

Yes, there is a time limit for each test.  The time limit is based on the number of questions.  An average you get one minute per question.

What is the passing grade?

You need a 75% grade to pass the certification test.

How long do I have access to the tests?

You have lifetime access. Take the test as many times as you wish, for as long as you wish!

What is the test format?

The test is in multiple choice format. But many of the answers are SQL code example.

Will I get feedback from the test?

Yes, for each question we’ll let you know what is the correct answer and what areas you need to focus on for further study.

What do you mean by, Emphasis on SQL Server?

What I mean is that though most of the question are relevant to various SQL dialects, such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, I know there are some areas that are specific to SQL Server.   For instance, annoyingly, all the SQL flavors seem to have their own slightly different set of built-in functions.  They mostly do the same things, but yeah, they’re different!
