In this course, you will learn how to make a small square container with paper. However, it will also give you the ability to use other materials and make other sizes of these great little items. In New Zealand where I learnt how to make these items, we call them “Kono” and they are normally made with natural fibres, notable New Zealand Flax/Phormium Tenax. These are the first step to becoming a weaver here and help to understand the general concept of “Mahi Raranga” – Maori Weaving or basketry. If you struggle with certain steps along the way, I am happy to help you and guide you!
