Description

In this course, we will talk about history in general, and specifically on the land of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

The course will also talk about the cultural heritage of the Kingdom in terms of archeology, history and geography, and the most important cities and historical monuments, civilizations and previous nations.

To begin with, you will learn about the eras in Jordan: the Old Stone Age, the Neolithic Age, the Chalcolithic Age, the Bronze Age, and the Iron Age, and how each of these ages left its noticeable impact on the history of the region.

As for the third unit, we will talk about the city of capitals, Petra, which is a World Heritage Site, and one of the Seven Modern Wonders of the World. The unit will also deal with the civilization of the Nabataeans, their life and their origins.

The fourth unit will talk about the most important cities of the Decapolis, which is Jerash, which archaeologists call the eastern city of Pompeii, about its history and the most important features of civilization there.
