What you’ll learn

  • In this class, I will guide you through each step in the Brand Key Model until you have completely defined your brand’s identity.

Building a strong brand is one of the most important aspects of your business. Put simply, it sets you apart from your competition and reflects your promise to your customers.

My name is Robin and I work as an entrepreneur in Belgium. I co-founded two startups and have also been helping other small businesses with both marketing and brand identity over the past couple of years. I have helped create logo’s, websites, brand names, copy and entire visual identities, but what I’ve learned is that none of those things really matter if the foundation, the brand identity, hasn’t really been defined.

So in this course, I want to show you how to do exactly that, by using the Brand Key Model. Full disclaimer: this model is not something I invented, nor do I wish to make the claim that I’m an expert on how to formulate a strong brand identity. But, from my own experience I’ve learned that writing down the different elements that make up a brand Identity can be pretty hard, and Models like the Brand Key Model are very useful tools that will make your life easier.

In this class, I will guide you through each step in the Brand Key Model until you have completely defined your brand’s identity. We’ll briefly discuss what a Brand Identity actually is and why it is so important, and afterwards we’ll be diving into the nine different elements that make up a Brand Key.

You’ll be able to follow along and apply each element to your own brand. I encourage you to do so, and maybe take some more time after completing the course to think about how you can define the different elements of the Brand Key Model for your brand.
