Wrap It Up

Angela Wolf begins this season’s sew-along with the versatile wrap dress and all of its variations. Next, Gretchen Hirsch updates a circle skirt by adding buttonholes and a wraparound sash. Then, meet Reen Wilcoxson for our first designer spotlight and learn about how she made sewing and in particular embroidery her career.

Aprons

Aprons used to be just a cover-up while cooking or cleaning, but they can have function while being a fashion statement. Joanne Banko creates a versatile garden apron featuring decorative stitching. Then, it’s lesson two with Angela Wolf on the wrap dress, she shows two different wrap styles closures. Last, Angela shares a question from one of her fans.

Accessorize

Every outfit needs the perfect accessory. This episode focuses on scarves and purses. Joanne Banko has four different seasonal scarves and ten tips. Then, Angela Wolf has a versatile envelope purse made from waxed canvas for any occasion.

Home Acessories

Spruce up your home with a quick change of accessories to add color, interest or reflect the season. Reen Wilcoxson creates a couched pillow to update your home for any season. Then it’s winter, or with some slight variations any season, with a tree pillow with Emily Thompson. Last is Angela Wolf with lesson three of the wrap dress – adding a ruffle accent as a variation.

Surface Embellishment

Stitching designs or patterns on the surface of your fabric can be the perfect embellishment. Joanne Banko demonstrates machine embroidery on a kimono style dress. Then, Rebecca Kemp Brent explores visible mending – stitching that is meant to be seen and provides a decorative accent.

This year’s hottest accessory for traveling is the carry all drawstring bag. First is Emily Thompson showing how to create a makeup bag. Then, in lesson four of the wrap dress, Angela Wolf creates a faux wrap variation in knit, plus techniques for the belt and neckline.
