Course Schedule:
In this Part 1 of the course, you will learn
What is sustainable investing and what different types of sustainable investments are there.
I will start with a broad-based knowledge of what is ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance), discussing each of the 3 dimensions.
After you gained a basic yet comprehensive understanding of sustainable investing,
Part 2 of the course is about how to implement sustainable investing in your own portfolio. We will discuss how to build a sustainable portfolio from scratch, or if you already have a portfolio, we can discuss how to transition the portfolio to a fossil-fuel-free or sustainable one.
This will cover how to pick ETFs that both outperform the market financially and sustainably.
About the instructor:
Hello, I am Stella Tsai. I started my career as an environmental chemist before transitioning my career into sustainable investing. I worked on the Wall Street of Canada as a Cleantech stock analyst, covering emerging cleantech companies that provide innovative solutions to environmental problems..
To expand Cleantech investing into environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG), I worked with university endowments and pension funds to help them implement UN-supported Principles of Responsible Investments (PRI) and to decarbonize their portfolios to meet carbon reduction goals by 2050. I also provide consulting to the Responsible Investment Association (of Canada) and provide investment education for individual investors.
I have a BSc. in Environmental Science, MSc. Finance in Investment Management and have completed additional industry courses such as CFA Level 1 and CSC.
