Dhananjay Mishra hails from a family of esteemed musicians. He had a keen interest in Tabla from a very early age. He started learning from his father. Tabla maestro Pt. Ishwar Lal Mishra at a very young age and later on from the late Tabla wizard Pt.Chhote Lal Mishra. Both of them were disciples of Tabla Samrat late Pt. Anoke Lal Mishra. He follows the Benares Gharana tradition.Dhananjay is a performing artist and had been teaching Tabla for the past 25 years. He also has been giving lessons online for the last 10 years. He has numerous students both within India andinternationally.
