Working With Knit Fabrics

With your pattern pieces adjusted, you’re ready to start cutting out your fabric. Get tips on working with different kinds of knits, matching patterned fabric and block fusing.

Constructing the Dress

It’s time to assemble your dress! Dyanne discusses the thread and stitch choices that will work best with your fabric and guides you through sewing the side and shoulder seams, adding the optional ruching and attaching the bodice to the skirt.

Facings & Sleeves

Dyanne demonstrates how to attach and finish facings with a sewing machine or serger, then helps you tackle the tricky but satisfying steps of setting in the sleeves. Prefer a sleeveless dress? Dyanne’s got you covered, with tips for drafting the armholes to suit.

Collar, Neckline Band, Sash & Finishing

You’re nearly finished! You’ll sew and attach the collar, add the neckline band and sash or draft the optional integrated sash. Dyanne shows you how to finish your seams and hem your dress – the final touches on your fabulous frock!
