What you’ll learn
- Theory of music from beginning to advanced.
- Everything we learn we will put it in practice using a music keyboard
Music is a language that has it’s rules. In the many years that I teach music, many students thought that theory of music is the most difficult thing to learn.
My concern is to show you that this language has a very simple logic and when you will get into this logic it will be very easy to learn and understand it. And the important thing is that we will put the knowledge we get into practice using a music keyboard.
Of course, as every language you will need to practice, but you will practice to things you understand how they work.
The course will cover the following subjects:
The music staff, notes, clefs, and the notes on the keyboard
The musical values
Elements we need to know for reading and writing music (repeats, speed, rhythm, dynamics etc.)
The music scales.
Intervals
Chord construction
Harmony of music, Circle of fifths
Probably you will need to see many of the videos more than once, or pause a video to do some practice, because the knowledge I give is compact.
In each chapter we have a Theory lecture, a quiz with questions, an exercise lecture and then some “on the keyboard” lectures that will help you visualize all the knowledge you got from the previous lectures.
Have fun with “Advanced Music Theory in Practice, using a Keyboard”!!!
