This Virtual Event Management course, aimed at those who are new to virtual events or looking to up their game, will lead you through the basics of virtual events including the purpose, goals, objectives, timing, interaction, platform selection, hybrid events, and my favourite tips and tricks! We discuss some event basics, but cover mostly topics to build a successful virtual or online event. We will discuss the Why, Who, When, What and Where of virtual events, sharing some of my successes and learnings running virtual events of various sizes all over the world. Assignments in the class will help you to create a practice event and walk through the different considerations you would need to think about as you build it, giving you the skills and confidence to run your own virtual events.
