It’s important for photographers to know and appreciate the work that can be done with any post-processing software. In this class, with the help of your instructor David Johnston, you’ll learn how to edit your water photography with Lightroom and Photoshop – to allow you to make finishing touches that will improve your creative vision.
Planning
The first step to any successful photograph is the planning that goes into it. It’s the work that people don’t see and often times don’t fully appreciate, but many times will make or break a photo. You’ll learn how to plan for success before you get in the field or sit at your computer.
Lightroom
Lightroom was originally designed to help photographers manage and organize their photos. It’s a basic version of the advanced tools you can use in Photoshop. So, Lightroom should be used for the purposes it was designed for! In this session, you’ll learn the basic edits that can have huge impacts on your water photographs.
Photoshop
Photoshop can be intimidating when you first open it. In this session, you’ll learn some easy steps you can take in Photoshop that will help you blend exposures and work with layers and masks. This will not only help your water photography, but it will also help you with other genres of photos as well.
