What is WomenSpeak and why is it important? WomenSpeak is a combination of negative patterns and other verbal and non-verbal communication that are unique to women when communicating to their friends, families, and business colleagues, especially their male colleagues. It can, however, occur in all types of communication situations such as work, social engagement activities & classrooms.

It’s important because WomenSpeak can affect:

–Image

–Business decisions

–Promotions

–Career paths

WomenSpeak occurs in both speaking and writing. There are four very powerful influencing factors I have attributed to WomenSpeak; 1) Social Conditioning:  how you were raised as a ittle girl may not be how you need to be as a woman in the workplace; 2) The Listening Advantage, women listen, men hear; 3)Women & men’s speaking styles and, they are different; 4) Women’s negative verbal, non-verbal and mind patterns; learn if you have any of these patterns and how to fix this negative communication.  We’ll also cover other areas that can affect WomenSpeak in negative ways such as:  Imposter Syndrome, How to be taken seriously at work, Implicit Bias including gender bias and gender lenses.

WomenSpeak also includes a section on Male allies:  how men can become an ally and help women recover from these detrimental types of communication.  Men are essential in helping women free themselves from these negative elements.

With your new knowledge and some practice, you’ll enjoy a sense of confidence and self-empowerment communicating at work with your male colleagues and in other communication situations. Plus, you’ll envision getting those desired results for you and your company through effectively communicating with all of your colleagues.

Who this course is for:

  • Women in their early career to retirement and perhaps beyond that in a new career. Also men who want to mentor women in the workplace or help their partner, wife, girlfriend, etc., understand the highs & lows of the way women communicate in the workplace and other communication areas.
