Want to learn to create the perfecto floral wreath? For artisan Roberta Santilli there’s only one way to do it: study the techniques, master them, and then, learn to ignore it all! Letting your sixth sense take over and being inspired by everything and anything around you is how you create something truly unique.

In this course, Roberta guides you through the creation of a wreath using dried flowers and woven branches with a wild feel and vivid colors, perfect for decorating your home or as a gift.

Start by getting to know flower artisan and founder of Opi Illi, Roberta Santilli, who has a background in interior architecture. She talks about her journey through the world of flower design and shares the trips, traditions, and artists that have inspired her style over the years.

Hear a summary of all the materials you need for your final project, from types of branches and dried flowers to the tools you need to bring it all together! Then find a few example wreaths that you love to help inspire your design.

Now it’s time to get weaving! Gradually build up small bunches of flowers to create the body of your composition and attach them to the base structure before moving on to create floral knot as the finishing touch to your piece.

Finally, Roberta explains how to use any leftover flowers to make broaches or original greetings cards. That way nothing goes to waste, and you’ve made yourself some stunning and sustainable decorations!
