This course is both for risk professionals as well as people who are studying climate risk management for the first time.  You will be taken on a journey, starting with the normal risk management frameworks already in place in your enterprise then you will be guided through the way to implement climate risk as a cross cutting risk across the existing risk types.  There has been a lot of development on climate risk management in banks so we will take a look at the latest international developments from the Bank for International Settlements and review how they see things.  We will also review the work by the Network for Greening the Financial System which is a network of central banks and supervisors who have invested a lot of time and effort in reviewing how climate risks will impact the financial system as a whole and what it means for them as supervisors.  People often ask for examples of risk management and scenarios so we also include a few examples to illustrate the concepts we are presenting.  The final section of this training course reviews the data and systems requirements and some of the potential solutions for reporting and analysis.  These data and systems can be used for opportunities as well as risk analysis and I hope that you will get some valuable insights into some practical steps you might be able to take after completing this training course to realise these opportunities as well as improve you management of climate related risks.

I hope you enjoy this training course and please feel free to send me any feedback for future iterations of this course.

Kind Regards

Duncan Wilson
