How To Create A Character Illustration In Procreate Beginner

I’m Janna, by day analyst, by night digital artist/designer.

I have always loved drawing from a very young age, but growing up with work and further education, it was hard to implement drawing and art into my life with all the other various commitments. Fast forward a few years when I’d gotten settled into work and life, I discovered Procreate, a revolutionary game changer to digital art which I wasn’t even aware existed! Using Procreate has been amazing for me to get better at my techniques. I love creating animated characters and illustrations and created this video to show you all how I create illustrations on Procreate from scratch. You will learn all the tips and tricks I have picked up over the last few years and hopefully be able to implement these into your own drawings.

Learning how to draw characters can lead to so many exciting opportunities, wether it be a children’s illustrator, selling your illustrations in greeting card form or stickers on places like Etsy, the possibilities are endless.

For this course you will need an iPad and the Procreate app. This course isn’t an introduction to Procreate course so it assumes you have basic knowledge about layers and brushes at the bare minimum.
