WELCOME to the “Acting Industry Basics Series,” of my Acting 101 courses!
As a casting director, acting coach, and actress myself, it pains me to watch actors & actresses with such great potential just do a few things wrong that make that other audition the chosen one. Those excellent actors and actresses just weren’t even aware that there could have been a few things done differently that would have ensured that they nailed their audition! I know the initiative and courage it takes to put yourself out there, and I want to help you make sure you do put your best foot forward for all audition types.
In this series, you will learn the basics of auditioning, what audition types are out there, and get a chance to practice auditioning for these different audition types! Audition types? There are auditions such as cold-reads, improvisation auditions, auditions with sides, monologue submissions, as well as in person versus self-tape. We cover all of that in this series. The great thing about online classes… you can pause, rewind, and re-watch critical concepts that you might have missed in person! I hope you enjoy the convenience of this online learning model.
My name is Emma Paunil, and I have been on all sides of the acting dice. I have been actress in various feature films, commercials, short films, etc., but I’ve also been on the other side as a casting director AND acting director. As an actress starting out, I honestly was always left “wanting more,” from the acting courses I experienced. Because of my perspective, I have finally been able to develop the acting course I would have wanted starting out, and continue to work out new courses to expand on past curriculum. I hope you enjoy!
Who this course is for:
- Beginning acting students
- acting students
- actors
- Actors looking to develop their foundational skills
- People interested in getting into the acting industry
