The course is provides an introduction to construction planning and Microsoft project. The course is designed to provide a step by step guide on how to set up your Microsoft Project when you first open Microsoft project. The version of Microsoft project used in the course is Microsoft project 2010. Additionally, the course will discuss the foundations of planning and provides some tips on writing a good construction programme.

The course is designed to ensure you do not fall into the usual traps of programming which often cost projects time and money if not executed correctly. It is important to understand that each project is unique and has its own set of site conditions, limitations and contractual requirements. A construction programme at the end of the day is a contractual document and is the proof when submitting any delays, latent conditions and extension of time.

The course is beginner friendly and is designed for construction industry professionals, university students and building cadets. It is essentially for anyone looking to learn and understand Microsoft project and construction planning.
