Welcome to this online course “Courageous Feedback” about the art of giving and receiving feedback.

We’re Charlotte and Josine, Psychologists and Trainers from Netherlands. It is our mission to put back empathy in the workspace with our action-based learning programs. One of the topics we focus on, is feedback.

We designed a practical course for you with bite-size video’s, reflection exercises and example cases. Hit the ground running in less than 1 hour and apply your learnings in your own feedback conversations.

Most likely, you came across this course because you want to develop or boost your feedback skills. You like to learn how to give feedback in a non-violent and constructive way. Maybe you once received poorly constructed feedback yourself, and you want to know how to bounce back from this in an effective way. Or your performance talks are coming up and you like to prepare for this talk in advance.

Whatever your motivation is to join this course, we hope you will walk away more skilled and equipped, ready to tackle any difficult feedback talk.

Why Feedback?

Feedback is a necessity if you want to (help others) grow professionally and personally. Being open with each other and giving each other honest feedback, requires a certain amount of courage and vulnerability. However, it’s worth it! Here’s why.

Research shows that regular feedback contributes to:

  • increased motivation and engagement

  • more psychological safety

  • a real learning culture

  • a feeling of belonging

  • better performance

This online course focuses on teaching you the basics of giving and receiving feedback, including:

  • Bravely’s 5 steps approach in giving feedback

  • 4 powerful tips on receiving feedback

  • Demo video’s about how (not) to have feedback conversations

  • Additional video about basic communication skills

The course includes 5 modules: an introduction, the importance of feedback, giving feedback, receiving feedback and an extra module about communication skills.

Make sure to have your notebook and pen ready. When we explain an exercise, feel free to pause the video and reflect on your answer.

The last video includes a PDF file, which you can use to apply your learnings in real life.
