You will learn the basics of interface design, visual design elements, as well as learning the basics of prototyping and creating and working with design systems. Although this course was initially designed for full 15 weeks university program, we tried to adapt the course for you. So, when you see a word “week”, do not be confused.
The course will be perfect for beginners, but advanced designers may find some useful information as well.
No prerequisites required. Just jump right in!
So the main goal of this course is to teach how to work with Figma and give basic knowledge in product design.
At the end of the course you will be able to:
Understand the basic principles of product design and be able to work in the Figma program
Apply all your knowledge about color theory, typography, hierarchy and other visual design basics
Properly position elements within the interface and learn more about layout and alignment
Design interfaces, build prototypes and present a project
The course consists of several lectures divided into sections as follows:
Introduction
Intro to Figma
Deeper into Figma
Visual design basics
Prototyping and animations
Design guidelines
At the end of each section you will have your task to complete, as well as some multiple choice quizes.
