    In this module, learn about the theories, hypotheses and experimental procedures related to the study of language and communication. You will also see the various structures in the brain that enable language production and perception.

    Speech Perception

    In this module, you will learn the science behind speech perception. You will study the various terms related to auditory perception and the functions of the cortical regions in the brain that support auditory perception. The development of speech perception from the fetus level onward will also be discussed.

    Speech Production

    In this module, the concepts of speech production will be discussed. You will learn about the features and properties of the vocal tract, the principles of articulation and the models of language processing will be explained. You will also study the different regions of the brain that facilitate speech production.

    Sentences and Discourse

    In this module, you will study the concepts of sentence processing and the fundamentals of Discourse. The various types of sentences and the models of sentence comprehension and production will be outlined. You will also learn about the various features of the different forms of communication.

    Reading and Writing

    In this module, the features of the various writing systems of the world will be discussed. You will also learn about the various cognitive processes that are involved in reading and writing as well as the different disabilities associated with reading and writing.

    Bilingualism

    In this module, the concepts and cognitive benefits of Bilingualism are discussed. You will also learn about the regions of the brain that supports bilingualism as well as the characteristics of some of the most widely spoken languages in the world.
