What you’ll learn

  • Why ESG has been associated with greenwashing?
  • What is ESG and why it is important for businesses?
  • What is happening in the ESG markets?
  • What are the challenges in implementation of the ESG reporting and analytics and how leaders should address them?

This course examines the challenges and solutions in implementation of the ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) strategy, disclosures, reporting and analytics.

It explains why ESG has been associated with the greenwashing, why it is very high on the executive agenda, what happens in the ESG markets, why it is so difficult to operationalise ESG data management, reporting and analytics, and how this is approached by the businesses.

We have a fantastic guest speaker for this course – Jawwad Rasheed who currently works as a Global Finance Lead at Alteryx, a data analytics company. Jawwad spends a lot of time talking to CFOs and other executives about the ESG agenda and their challenges, and how these challenges are addressed in practice. He also covers who should be responsible for ESG in an organisation.

This course is part of the series of courses on Climate Change and Sustainability, and is best combined with our courses “Corporate Climate Reporting: Key Standards and Guidelines” and “Every Company’s Guide to Climate Action and Achieving Net Zero”.

Thank you so much for choosing our course and we hope you will find it useful.
