This class aims to teach you how to take real-world scenarios and turn them into financial models. In addition, this class teaches the basics of financial modeling, some spreadsheet skills, and even a little bit of accounting by solving everyday problems with financial models.
In this course, you will build 3 projects
A loan calculator
An ISA calculator
A Financial forecast for an online Etsy store
We will approach our projects by asking a few simple questions to help us understand who we are building for and what questions we are looking to answer with our model.
For these projects, you will learn how to plan, build, and update these different tools to help you develop your skill and confidence in modeling. Each project will grow in complexity but don’t worry. I’ll explain why we are doing things along the way. By the end of the course, you will have more comfort with modeling and spreadsheets in general.
As you go through this course, I hope you learn to enjoy modeling and appreciate its practical side and the creativity involved.
