This course (season 2) is aimed at English speakers who would like to learn intermediate level Japanese conversation. If students have completed “JAPANASU – Learn to Speak Japanese Effectively Season 1” or they have any prior relevant knowledge of Japanese, it would be perfect to improve their knowledge.
Students will start to plain forms of verbs (Dictionary-form (U-form) / Ta-form / Nai-form, etc.) and how to make each of them. Then, they can learn a variety of expressions with such plain forms, more various verbs and adverbs:
Plain form + koto as a noun phrase
How to express your ability – Plain form + koto ga dekiru
How to express your experience – Plain form + koto ga are
Time expressions (clauses) with plain form – Plain form + Time Conjunctions
How to express changes – Plain form + you ni naru / suru
How to say “let’s…” in a casual way – Plain Suggestion form / Volition form
How to express “basic quotations” – Plain form + to + Verb (iu, kiku, omou, etc.)
How to express various levels of certainty – Plain form + haze / ni chigai nai/ kamo shirenai, etc.
How to express your advice – Plain form + hou ga ii / beki
How to make a relative clause – Plain form + Noun
How to express sequential actions – Te-form in the middle of the sentence
How to make request expressions – Te-form + kudasai / choudai , hoshii / morai-tai
