Modular Quilting

Meet your instructor, quilting expert and author Kimberly Einmo, and gain an overview of what you’ll learn in class! Kimberly also covers the supplies, tools and fabrics you’ll be using to quilt with, sharing great tips along the way.

Prep Work & Basic Units

Dive into the construction of the basic units you’ll need in this class, including four-patch units, half-square triangles, Shoo Fly, Friendship Spinning Star, Churn Dash and Spinning Star blocks.

Quad Triangle Units

Follow along as Kimberly walks you through ways to construct the triangle units that make up the Spinning Star, Ohio Star, Double Cross and Spinning Star Chain quilts. You’ll pick up efficient sewing tips and inspiration for fabric selection along the way!

Flying Geese & Sawtooth Stars

Discover how to make Flying Geese blocks easier and more fun to create as Kimberly takes you step by step through her Flying Geese and Sawtooth Stars. You’ll gain new insight into clean, efficient techniques for cutting, marking, sewing and more.

Pinwheels & Stars

Infuse whimsy, color and a fresh burst of fun into your quilts with Kimberly’s Pinwheels & Stars quilts. You’ll learn how to cut, piece and sew triple-unit triangles in quick succession, create Twisted Star and Fancy Propeller blocks, and bring it all together in a dazzling quilt.

Tri-Recs & Square-in-a-Square

Train your eye to move from triangles to squares and rectangles in this fun, engaging exploration of square-in-a-square units. Kimberly demonstrates how to cut and sew Tri-Recs units, square up your blocks, and mix and match beautiful prints and solids for vibrant finished blocks.

Dazzling Strip Diamonds
