Ship Handling and Manoeuvring
In this module, you will be introduced to the fundamental concepts that are associated with the principles of manoeuvring and control of vessels operating on the sea. You will also be introduced to some of the manoeuvring methods, procedures and manoeuvring safety. It highlights handling vessels in different weather conditions as well as the effect of tugs on the vessel.
TSS, VTS and Calculations
In this module, you will be introduced to calculations like the rate of turn and squats of a ship. You will also be introduced to the traffic separation scheme (TSS), some terms associated with TSS and vessel traffic services(VTS). It highlights ship routing systems, as well as the elements of a ship routing system.
