Hello!
Welcome to the third class in Modern Folk Art series! In this class we will use birds as our main element to make the colorful and attractive paintings!
You don’t need any special materials in this class, just drawing materials like pencil, pens and any painting medium like watercolors, acrylics or gouache with brushes, color palette, rough cloth, bowl for water, etc. along with sketching papers and watercolor papers.
In the first two lessons, we will concentrate on drawing the forms of birds from reference and then decorating it with various attractive florals to give it a folk art look. I will use lots of references of birds to explain it’s body so that you will understand its structure and also the special characteristics birds have which look really good in decorated paintings.
After all the drawing part, we will see various elements in painting which contribute to give a folk art look to it. I will show it by painting different colorful sketches. And at the end, I will give a complete demonstration by painting an illustration and I will explain it’s each step too!
So get ready with all the materials. You’ll have a lot of drawings and paintings at the end of this class!
