Highlighting the visual potential of a good image with volume, textures, color and lighting is the main objective of photo retouching. Karina Meza is a photographer and digital retoucher specializing in touch-up of advertising still lifes and has worked for photographers, advertising agencies, magazines and retail , such as Falabella, Riplay, Paris, among others.
In this course you will learn different techniques to touch up a product still life in Adobe Photoshop in two ways: one advertising and one creative.
First you will meet Karina Meza, who will tell you a little about her and how she came to dedicate herself to professional photo retouching. In addition, you will nourish yourself with good visual material by discovering the most important references that have influenced your work and motivated you to learn more.
You will see the previous stages to start your project, starting by defining what you want to achieve with the retouching and with what objective. Then you will see the relationship between setting of the camera, Adobe Photoshop and printing through color profiles. Then you will look for references to specify the look & feel you want to achieve.
Karina will explain some important aspects of the digital image, show you how to reveal a photograph in RAW format and the different options it offers, one by one. You will review the main Photoshop tools that you will use to carry out your photo retouching project and you will know a very useful technique to start retouching.
You will go deeper into touch-up techniques, this time more specific and complex, always oriented to enhance the product in the image. You will learn to rebuild a logo so that it stands out, highlight and create glare and reflections, work the color adjustment through layers and masks, and adjust the focus to give it greater power.
